What does the PDP Program have to offer?
The goal of the Person Directed Planning Pilot Program is to build on an individual’s dreams, strengths, and capabilities. This pilot program will focus on the development of relationships, as well as on ways an individual can access community resources to support a good life. Understanding what is of value and how an individual can participate in his/her community is key to the Person Directed Planning process. For example, how one spends their day would be a central focus. At the heart of the Person Directed Planning approach is the belief that every individual has the right to live a life they wish. As a result, those accessing the Person Directed Planning Pilot Program will each be different. Values and beliefs that are a solid foundation to Person Directed Planning process are as follows: Inclusion, Citizenship, Self-determination, Community , Contribution and Participation

The PDP Program's target audience are individuals with varying abilities and/or mental health challenges from all age groups.
